Environment conservation is the great challenge for human in the changing world. Rapid urbanization and modernization are the major factors that have invited several threats to the environment. Therefore, our organization is highly devoted to provide the practical solutions for improving environment.

The environment can have a reflective impact on the health of the people. Environmental change is a physical or material change to the socio-economic or physical environments. Local communities can create broad, eternal, improved public health outcomes by producing healthier choices available to and practical for their residents through environmental change. Our organization has been involving in various activities that help to reduce the effect of environment change on public health.

Climate change is the biggest and most controversial environmental issue of these times. It is obvious that the earth’s climate has changed over its origin and history with some cataclysmic consequences known as the mass extinctions of Earth’s Biodiversity. The Himalayan country like Nepal is more vulnerable due to climate change.

HEPHN aims to be a part of the protesters of climate change by providing awareness to the people and help to create adaptational strategies. HEPHN has been providing trainings and seminars for the local people, students, scholars and faculties to develop skilled and professional human resources to cope the existing challenges of global change and threats to the environment.

HEPHN has been developing strategies to mitigate environmental problems and develop biodiversity database for long-term planning and management.  Therefore, Himalayan Environment Initiative (HEI) is organized for reconciling environmental issues with public health to motivate general public in protection of biological resources.
